Recommended Tires

I have a 2010 Camaro RS
I have the stock 20" wheels and wish to keep them.
Size of tires 275 40 106
I wanted to get some new tires from discount tire, because I only get my tires from there...
Can anyone recommend me tires that might be better than the pirelli P ZERO?
I ask this because I want to get the tires that are all season that do really good at the drag strip. Don't get me wrong, I am satisfied with the grip of pirelli... but I just want to know if there are any better tires???

The P Zero isn't even an "All Season" tire. It's rated as a "Summer" tire. The Nitto Invo is a better drag strip tire than the P Zero and performs just as well on the street. If you don't care about losing a little traction in wet conditions, the Nitto NT05 is probably the best street tire you can get for the strip without going to a drag radial.

The factory tires I have now do really good on the strip, and they are all season. I just wanted to know which was better.

I have raced multiple cars who have Nitto, and I took the upper hand at the take off with the grip of pirelli's. Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you saying that the NT05 is a little different than the other cars? The cars that I raced where all muscle cars.
I looked up the tire, and it looks pretty interesting... but where can I get it?

Are you running the P-Zeros? Just trying to clear that up.

As mentioned, all season tires will not provide the same level of grip as an ultra high performance summer tire (P -Zeros included).

But at your power level, an all season tire may be adequate. But at higher power levels, you'll need a high quality summer tire or drag radials for any kind of racing.

Also, for some reason guys think the P-Zeros don't grip well. But in warmer weather they grip better than the majority of the tires on the market (and I dispute the fact that the Invos out grip the P - Zeros - testing proves differently). They just need to be warmed up. They do not work well in colder weather.

My .02, google is your friend, do you own research; search for tire reviews and comparisons go to www.tirerack.com and read all the information they offer. Once you have a better base of knowledge and better understand the difference in what you are asking then we will be able to assist you much more accurately. Right now with all the different people giving you their imput it will just confuse you.

Trust me its better to learn on your own then trust what a bunch of people on a forum tell you, even a forum as awesome as ours.

Ben

Yes I am still currently running on P Zero. You are pretty much right about that, I live in texas and it really is hot over hear... Some people have recommend me winter tires and did not explain why, and was not sure if they would perform differently... So are you recommending that I just stick with P Zero???
If so, can you name a specific type of P Zero???

Like people have already told you, the stock P zeros are summer tires, NOT all season tires.

I guess you can consider them all season here in TX, LOL, but they are still classified as summer tires to everyone else.

Go for some 275-40-20r NT05's. I was able to get low 1.8 60ft's with them and they hook good. The only downside is you will only get about 15,000 miles out of them as a daily driver/racing. I still have these tires on my car and find it pretty hard to break them loose with a 4000 stall and pushing 420rwhp/420rwtq.

Where or who did you buy yours from? I can't find them anywhere...
