Qualifying and test and tune were on Friday. Qualifying went until noon Saturday, and the rest of the day was for racing only. If you ran 11.46 then you didn't qualify for the quick 16 in the 500 class.

The other V8 class was for manual cars only, so obviously an auto can't run there.

With so many cars involved it's difficult to create too many categories, and no matter where you end up, there can always be faster cars.

This is where bracket racing comes in. You could've run in that category, but it was cancelled due to the weather.

Yeah we were wondering what happened to the awards as well. We won overall in the V-6 class and have not seen any prize money or the leader board. Keep us posted.

Thanks,

Jesse!

Sweet, thanks Mike (mlee)! The first and second place cars for Unlimited V-6 were IPF Supercharged and Tuned, 1st was our V-6 SC shop car and second was Tonja a IPF customer that had been tuned by IPF at the C5 Fest!

It was such a great show and a good time! Cannot wait til next year!

Thanks again,

Jesse!

It's this part I didn't understand "manual cars only"?

Thanks for explaining the classes so everyone can see I'm not just whining. I may just be the only one speaking up? I know there were 4 other cars/drivers on Saturday morning after the drivers meeting who also said they were left out in the cold because they didn't have the fastest and had an automatic.

Maybe next year we can have the quick 16 and then index the rest so everyone gets the opportunity to run heads-up against similar capable cars regardless of power adders, bolt-ons or transmission choice.

OMG...hahaha Why did they have a manual only class? skeered of those slow automatics. That doesn't look good for those all-powerful m6 cars...just saying.

Next years suggestions

Exhibition- ARH, LPE, JRE, RPM and such
V8 unlimited - anything with a TC or SC
V8 NA- pretty obvious anything goes minus power adders
V8 stock- duh lol
V6 unlimited
V6 stock
Bracket racing

Or just throw all the classes out except exhibition and V8 unlimited and make us all bracket race

The m6 street was kinda cool but if you didn't have a blower you weren't gonna get out of the top 8.

Hendrix threw out the idea for a manual street tire class; Mike bit on it. Don't see why there couldn't be an auto street tire class...just no one chimed in before hand.

Missing a shift isn't an issue for autos; so it does become more of an equalizer for less powerful M6s who have better RTs, and smoother 60fts...

not sure the same would apply to the 'point and shoot' community.

Most drag events have street tire classes...or at least a True Street class....always very popular; especially for those that don't want to invest in drag radials....and it does equalize some....

highly recommend retaining the street tire class....get out there with how you actually run it on the street.

Bracket racing is the ultimate equalizer (if the weather allows)....keep the brackets.

I'm not quite used to the clutch on this car either, it's way different than the one in my Z28 daily driver.

Getting traction in this car is hard, even on 345 wide Envo's. Need slicks for the drag strip. I've had it spin on me in 4th gear around 4000 RPM at 125 MPH on the street before
I saw that and knew exactly what was going on. Nice car
