Yours is considered low...I've had mine 2 weeks shy of a year and just cracked 3700 miles. I drive my truck M-F for work, so most of my driving is on the weekends, with some weekly driving too.

I have 3,700 miles on mine. Purchased new with ~ 6 miles on her July, 2011.
Only drive her on weekends, holidays and occasionally on Fridays during the Spring, Summer and early Fall months. Not a DD but also not deliberately trying to keep the mileage low, either. She serves the purpose I bought her for as a nice-weather-cruiser.

It always baffles me that people spend anywhere from $24K to over $50K for a car that they don't drive but occasionally. Letting one sit in a garage most of the time does no good for the car or the owner. Unless you are out driving these cars what enjoyment does it provide?
Again who knows what tomorrow will bring, you could end up losing your job, contracting a terminal illness, or have an accident where you will never be able to drive your Camaro again. You better enjoy it while you can. You can always buy another car or have yours restored. Don't waste a day, life's too short to save your car for the next owner.

Personally I buy cars to drive and enjoy. I once had a 2000 Prowler that I out 151,000 on in a little oiver 5 years. Now that I work from home and don't commute daily, I have only put about 6,000 miles on my Camaro since I drove it home from Georgia in mid November of last year and that includes a 3500+ mile Holiday Road trip through nine states!
For trade in/selling purposes - anything less than 12-15K per model year will considered low mileage. |

I bought my 2011 2SS LS3 brand new in April of 2012. After one year I have 15,413 miles on it right now. I can't stop driving it. The car calls to me so I have no idea how you folks are limiting your driving time.
I can't stay away from the fun. |

10,520 miles. The only reason I look at mileage is to keep track of maintenance otherwise I drive it as I please, when I please. The more I drive it the more I'm getting my investment paid for. Relax and enjoy.

mileage for resell is based on the model year @ an average rate of 12K - 13K per year which is the national average per driver according to the the U.S. Dept of Transportation.
something to keep in mind, if you have vehicle that is say a 2007 but you bought the car in 2006 (did this with my wifes car, bought in Sept 2006) those couple of extra months of mileage will hurt you. my 2005 Chrysler 300c was built and purchased in April 2004, so I had nearly 1 year of extra mileage that hurt me on resell, because even though I had actually owned the vehicle for 7 years, it was actually only 6 model years old. So I had 7 years worth of mileage but it was calculated @ 6 model years. @ 7 years my average was 12142 miles per year, @ 6 years it was 14166 per year and I was dinged for that. as far as resell mileage is concerned, as long as you are below the national average of 12k per year over the life of the model years of the vehicle then you will have a slight advantage. but also keep in mind that any vehicle with over 75K regardless of it's age will only net you auction price on a trade it, as most dealerships will not keep vehicles over this mileage on their lots, they will dump them @ auction for the private lots.

I bought my 2011 2SS/RS in November 2010. Today it has 78000+ miles on it. I too am trying to keep the mileage low for resale.........Not! I bought it to drive. When I'm done, there will be nothing left of it. I bought it for my use, not to save it for the next person.
