Happened to me last month, even though my car is automatic. No idea HOW it happened, neither did the dealer, but had to wait 3 weeks till the part came in and got replaced. It was the right axle shaft too! Hopefully you get it fixed and back good as new

Not with mine (born June 8 2009) no problems at all.... and I've been on the ICAR track a few times in 2010 and around 15 (1/4mile) tries with a best time of 13.8.
The only problem is shifter will resist going into 3rd if too quick a shift attempt and..... happened once from 1st to second when I probably would have had a 13.5.

Eventually will put in a Hurst shifter like the 2011's

OEM axels suck, especially if you like having fun. At least you are still under warranty.

broken axle

I started out for my ride last Sunday and an axle broke. I was going about 15 miles an hour, auto trans just shifting into 2nd. Chevy dealer as baffled as I am since I have never even burned out. 16,000 miles, L99/auto, 2SS, 2010. I wonder if there's an acceptable upgrade for the repair? They said they ordered it from Detroit and I should be driving on Thursday

A set of DSS axels would do it.

I changed my stock axels out to a pair of DSS axels before I broke them having fun. The right side stock axel had a pretty good twist to the outer spline.

Just broke my right side as well. Shifting from 1st to 2nd pull out of a restaurant with the wife. Also broke the drive shaft about a year and a half or so. Could this latest break be related to the previous repair? BTW I'm completely stock with 12742mi. Drive shaft broke at about 4k I think. And I've pretty much babied it since out of fear...so much for that huh.
