I really want to love the refresh but it hasn't grown on me at all. Still need to see it in person but all the pictures didn't change my opinion no matter what angle they take the shots at.

Heading back to the mega, uninspiring 80's and 90's Camaros. Yawn.......

that chrome upper lip on grill really puts a cherry on top! I understand trying to attract more eyes, but it also pushes the already attracted camaro fans. Not a fan of the new designs. ZL1 power plant is a good choice though.

The 2014 conservative styling makes me think GM is going after more Corvette buyers wanting a back seat.
My guess is the gen6 will go back to a more bold approach with the same tone it down refresh in 2020. |

reminds me of BMW, they make a beautiful degisn, then f it up and the the next design looks amazing in comparison aka 6th gen will be intense
And I agree a hundred percent, 2014 plus, RS package looks like absolute **** The non rs applications actually looks great Feel bad for the 1LE and ZL1 guys, wait so long for the perfect package and GM redesigns it within a year. Stupid

When GM came out with the 2010 Camaro it was the complete package all the lines matched. The front and rear had hard edge lines like the side of the car. I think the major problem with the refresh is they softened the styling in the front and rear. It does not flow at all with the rest of the car. Plus those taillights

LEDs are superior to incandescent, and are in fact becoming the standard of the automotive industry. LED headlamps are right now only on high end cars, but will soon trickle down to all cars. In 10 years you will not find an incandescent rear tail lamp, and only a few cars will have halogen headlamps, if any. The next Camaro redesign will have standard LED tail lamps on all trims, and may have optional LED headlamps. If not standard LED headlamps on some trims. LED uses less current, lasts longer, operates cooler, and is far brighter than incandescent bulbs. |

And the tail lights look so much better in person, fwiw. They have a sculpted character, and complex glow that pictures don't capture. EDIT: General Plea to members of Camaro5: WAIT TO PASS JUDGEMENT UNTIL YOU SEE IT IN PERSON. This, more than any other Camaro model to date...does not look good in pictures. You need to spend time with it before deciding whether you like it or not...because frankly, until you see it in person - you don't know what you're looking at. "Keep the faith" |
