Suspension upgrades - daily driver

Hi,

My car is daily driver only. But when I take cornes in higher speed, I feels like my rear end is moving and unstable. And I have some wheel hop under harder acceleration too.

Lately I have been reading about suspension mods and I decided theese 2 ways.
I like comfort ride of my car but on other side I want it to be more stable and solid when cornering.

1.) Bc racing coilovers plus bmr poly rear cradle bushing.
2.) Pfadt zl spec sway bars, pfadt rear trailing arms and tie rods, bmr poly rear cradle bushing.

I have budget around 1500$. So what combination do you suggest for my need?
Or do you suggest absolutely different combination?

My car: 2012 ss, long tube headers, cai, tune.

Thank you.

Not sure on your two choices. I am doing the 1LE track pack. It will be installed on Jan 6th. I did put on the Hotchkis chassis brace and it helped with the wheel hop, the 1LE cradle bushings are allot better and stock and I should have all wheel hop gone after having both on.

I run street only but find every curvy road I can.

The unstable feel you have is due to the rear IRS actually moving during cornering and hard acceleration. There are videos that Pedders did that shows the movement of the OE cradle bushings! The very first thing you should do is replace the rear cradle bushings with full urethane ones (or solids). Pedders and BMR have good full bushings and Pfadt has good solids. This is the foundation of the IRS! This will help eliminate the unstable feel that is called "rear end step out". Next, to help with wheel hop, replace the rear toe links, trailing arms, and outer bushings. You can do all of this within the $1500 budget. After that save up for a set of coilovers and lower it 1 1/4" (no more) and you'll have a killer set-up!

We just installed Pfadts Stage 1 ZL spec Drag Racing kit on a customers Whipple Supercharged Camaro and it completely changed the feel and ride of the vehicle!

This kit pretty much comes with everything you need...

http://store.pfadtracing.com/camaro-...age-1-zl-spec/

It is a little bit more ( $149 ) than the $1500 you are trying to stay at but it's worth it!

PM or Call me with any questions.

Thanks

JT

some Amsoil grease and a full suspension poly-bushing swap; makes the suspension respond instead of react (stock rubber).

This kit comes with everything the OP pretty much wanted/needs.

Lowering Springs, front and rear sway bars, trailing arms etc...

The " Drag Racing " wording is thrown around loosely and is just that, wording. He will be fine with this kit for a street driven daily.

Did you read what the kit included or did you just see " Drag Racing " and immediately just questioned it?

Thanks

JT
