Oh and also...I heard from the supervisor at my dealer that when he got his Camaro that the order status was still at 3800 when he checked.

CG- I agree, that is absolute bull$hit that people that ordered their cars in April and even in May already have them. I ordered mine in January and I'm really po'ed that I don't have it yet, I can't imagine how you feel waiting since October. I realize it's not the fault of the people people that ordered their cars later but I can't tell you how mad it makes me everytime I read of someone that ordered their car months after me already has it.

I've been reading how it's not a big deal because it's the way the allocation system works but that is bull to. If I get a questionaire from GM I'm going to give them a piece of my mind about people getting their cars way before me.

I, like you ordered our cars early because we wanted to be one of the first to own one, how insulting of GM to take that away from the loyal buyers that ordered early. It may not be a big deal to some of you, but it is certainly a big deal to me!

I absolutely agree 120% with every bit of anxious hair on my body Russ....I somehow convinced myself that the wait was legitimately okay because of all the pre-ordered cars of 11,000 but I never saw anyone mention when they ordered until Cruz and Im just

how long I've had to wait when I could have easily gone later like any other regular person.

I wouldn't use that logic, I tried and it only frustrated me more after I saw car after car get delivered with a VIN only a 100 or so away from me. Yes, mine was held for a week for the stripe, but I've also seen others with the same stripe and color get delievered that were built on or around the same day as me. I now of all things, I seem to be on the one train going 20mph down to St. Louis since these other cars got to the other side of the counrty in a flash compared to mine.

CG- If you knew how many Camaro's have been delivered that was exactly the same car that you ordered it would make you even more pissed off. I've seen probably 80 black
2SS/RS cars delivered to people that ordered their cars in APRIL & MAY!!!

Nothing will justify that this is OK to me. It has actually spoiled a lot of my enthusiasm about getting the car. I'm not a rich man, I work hard every day for my money and spending almost $40K is a HUGE thing to me. I guess I wanted to feel a little special to order a car before it was even ready for production. It's the first time I've ever done it, and because of my experience it will probably be the last.

Ordered October 23, 2008 and just got the call from the dealer that it's in today, June 11, 2009. ~8 months

Took 5 days from showing up on the tracker to getting the "its here" call.

Dusky- I'm really happy that your car finally arrived. Hopefully the driving experience will out weigh the ordering experience. You ordered your car 8 months ago and you got it before me, as it should be!
I ordered the black 2SS/RS w/ 6 speed, let me know how it is to drive! My local dealer would not even let me drive the Camaro's they got in.

It appears to be 7-10 days on average from the date in which is shows up in the tracker to delivery at the dealer. However...there have been exceptions
