It sounded to me, that from the reviews that I've seen, ZL1 was pretty thermally stable - at least stock. I do recall some elevated engine oil temperatures, from MT, I think, but they didn't really seem alarmed by it.

I doubt there will be any such issues with Z/28. CF brakes, advanced aero', NA LS7, and all the supporting cooling systems; it imagine it will do quite well.
He said GM is wrong by saying its a street legal race car because the LS7 is too big, the brakes are too big, the wheels and tires are too big and stuff like that makes it not legal for any race class. The thing he may be missing is GM was hinting at a manufacturers race series and if that materializes, the Z/28 would probably be legal.

I'm not familiar with the race rules so be may right.

Not sure if this is from the C7-Z/28 testing at the Ring -- but it's a great photo:

I guess the ZL1 would be included in that class?

Yeah - I don't care, lol. Thanks for refreshing my memory. I forgot my irritation with him.

pro racing might take some time before it is legal and scca club less time and nasa is very cool...they would probably find a place for this car next spring if you wanted to race it....BUT...the car is really designed for weekend track rats.

If they come up with a manufaturers series, would the ZL1 be included?

I'm wondering if that was shot somewhere else. I've never seen a car get that much air at the Nordschleife. Great photo, though...
