i would send mine to lingenfelter instead, they deal with mostly gm vehicles, while hennessey mostly deals with mopars and vipers

Another vote for Lingenfelter, among many other GM tuners out there.

plus one for Lingenfelter. Although I may give Katech or MTI a shot with this one. I have been pricing LS7's and the LSx 454. For those amounts for just the engine I can make the LS3 Scream. End of the day probably will end up going to Lingenfelter again..lmao

....I've heard some shitty things about LPE since John Lingenfelter died. I think MTI (Texas) closed their doors. Not to be confused with MTI Racing (Georgia). As it stands right now, I trust Katech a hell of a lot more as both a business and an R&D shop. Katech knows what it takes to build NA road race motors that get flogged for 24 hours straight. Durability is an absolute must for me. However, living in NY, I have access to Corvettes of Westchester, Kaltech, TTP, Cartek, and East Coast Supercharging. Personally, I'd send my car to ECS. They've done a lot of my friend's cars, they build a lot of road course cars, and I know they do quality work. Pricey, but worth it.

YIKES. I'm working through the 300cforums thread now, and it's unbelievable. Not only does the guy lie, scheme, and sell his customers' parts out from under them, but he talks like a 13-year-old online Halo player.

That read was surreal. And apparently true as he said “that was six years ago” like time erases corruptness. And the way he talks is totally immature, its really too bad. Buyer beware.

The sad part is that all the bad press is mostly true. There are many horror stories here in Houston. Even the local street scene car enthusiasts don't like the way he does business. He was also in league with machinist named Robert Gray who was at that time reputable. If you don't mind paying up front and financing him to finish the other guy's car seems to be the accounting philosophy. But to get your car done will require someone else to come in line behind you. That was the way the program ran back then or so I have been told. My money got taken by Robert as well as many other Houston area customers. I wouldn't go even if I had a ton of money and 2 Camaros.
That's got to be a leopard that still has the same spots maybe just a new hunting ground. Be careful. As the Camaros come out so will the crooks.

I know I've said some really bad things about HPE and John Hennessey himself in the past.

But I've agreed (along with all the rest of the moderators and admin) to give Hennessey and his company a fresh start on this site. We are no longer taking into consideration what has happened in the past. (this goes for every aftermarket company).

HPE along with all the other companies and tuners will be seen as new and anything negative said about them regarding things that have happend on other sites will not be taken into consideration. I hope this explains why nothing has been said recently.
We want an equal playing ground for everyone.
I hope we can all put this behind us for now.
