I just don't like the trolls that bash ppl for a post, if they brought one back to life great but if they are new and haven't seen the previous one don't bash them, better yet if you have the link to the answer for their question post it, if not don't bash them because obviously they couldn't find the answer

99.99% of the time you can tell when someone has created a repost without ever having bothered to even try and search for what they're asking about.

If someone's too lazy to use the then what makes you think I'm going to spend any amount of time doing the research for them?

There are 183,690 threads on this site (as of this post). You really think people (even those of us who have been here a while) know exactly where the answer to every question is? Absolutely not. We have to use the search button too. Just because you're new doesn't mean it should give you a free pass to clutter up the system with more duplicate posts.

Think about this: every time there's a duplicate post, the search results get further cluttered with useless information. This just makes it that much more difficult for every other member searching for this information to find.

On the other hand ... if a link is provided within the thread, it makes it that much easier when the staff merges the threads
