Should shift at peak HP or slightly past it depending on your power curve.
You basically want the engine to spend as much time as possible in the best part of it's power curve. If you make say a peak of 500 RWHP, you'd want to spend time where you make the most power... peak. Shift to early and too low, you could be shifting where the car is only making 450 rwhp, and on your shift, the RPMs will drop even lower. Hope that helps. Some folks in pro classes will shift past peak HP because the drop-off is not that bad and they are trying to keep the RPMs up.

I would say shift it 4 to 500 past peak HP. I peak at 6500 but it does not fall off hardly at all, I shift at 7000-7100. Puts it right in the sweet spot for the next gear. But all set ups are different, play around and see what works best.

Higher the better but stay off the limiter. lol. I am finally getting the nads to shift higher and I've picked up 7-8 mph on the top.

Nice 60'. I'd like to hear more about your setup if you don't mind sharing. Tires, clutch, suspension and launch (clutch dump or slipping).

If you change shifting points and see an increase in RPM you are shifting where you make more power, good stuff.

never really payed much attention to where I shifted the car now with a dyno sheet I know when to shift .may have been missing a lot of power .we will see next time at the track.
