Hoping someone can help out here. ZL1 1LE I ordered on 3/10 had not been accepted according to Chevy Chat. I checked today and got this message:

Thank you for your patience! Our records show that the order has been accepted and is working towards the production process. You can continue to follow up with us for an update or reach out to your selling dealershp for further detailed information.

Does this mean the car will definitely be produced? And would it be a 23 or 24? I called my dealer and it is still showing 1100 status according to them, but they have not been very helpful. There is another car I am looking at that I need to give an answer on but if my car is guaranteed to be produced based on being accepted I would probably pass. Any insight would be appreciated.

Always always always ask chevy chat for your event code.

When they say your order is accepted, but your event code is sitting ar 1100 for months on end really means you don't have shat. Demand your event code from chevy chat and your dealer.

Chevy chat says they won't give codes and i called my dealer and they said it is at 1100 status but it only updates on Monday's. According to chevy chat, order was not accepted on friday when i checked but today it says it was accepted. Not sure if it will update in a week but i also dont know if it being accepted means they are going to build it and at what model year...

About 80 % of my interactions with chevy chat will give me an event code. The other 20% may or may not give event codes when pressed. I say this with hundreds and hundreds of interactions with them over many vehicles orders.

Generally speaking, chevy chat people know that your order has been stagnat for months, but they are trained to bullshit the consumer with false positive verbiage like "your vehicle has been accepted and is working toward production, congratulations you must be so happy"

I have received this same canned response for 9 months straight on the last truck that I ordered.

I just double checked and they gave me the wrong info. The order has not been accepted by GM lol unbelievable!

I think there's more to this, after all, such a staggering level of incompetence is not a realistic assumption.

GM is curtailing information flow likely because this lowers their risk and litigation exposure, be it just an inconvenience to a customer that was expecting an event to occur at a specific time or a rejected order because the vehicle had corrections applied at the factory, all the way to contract breach lawsuits of various kinds, justified or not.

Shutting off the info pipe is easier than exposing your processes and standing behind (while also improving) them.

Once the dealer gets the itemized invoice from GM, does that mean shipping is typically imminent? My car doesn't have to go by rail either. Only truck. I'm only a couple hours from Lansing.

I got my invoice 8 days ago and I am still waiting! My dealer told me the same thing though, that shipping was imminent! LOL.

Finally! Chevy chat this morning says it was built. But my dealer also told me yesterday that he just got a car delivered last week that was built in March, so I'm not optimistic I'll be seeing it any time soon...

I ordered from two dealers the same basic car, but I just picked up a ZL1. One is at 4V03 with an ETA of 7-6-23. The other at 4300 with no ETA.

The two I ordered were at MSRP located in the Charlotte, NC area. I have no profit from these, just passing on the cars to some one on this board. With the recent price increase, this should help out and get a 2023 fairly quick. Message me and I will send contact information. Thanks.

My car was built early April, took two months for it to ship. Now It's sitting "delayed" in Chicago for the past 2 weeks and my dealer can't get an update from gm. Jfc gm, get your shit together!!!
