Keep 2023 order or place 2024
Hopefully this question helps others but I have a ZL1 1LE on order since early March and the order has not been picked up by GM. Would it make sense to keep that order or re order a 24 model. Not sure what the best option is to just get one finally.
Thanks! |

I just talked to Chevy Chat today to confirm this. You will need to re-order as a 2024 if it does not get picked up by the cut off.

That is what I figured, but really trying to figure out if it’s worth just cancelling that and ordering the 24. Would hope the 23’s get priority but who knows with them.

Order a 2024 tomorrow and if your 2023 gets picked up in the next few weeks, then you can cancel the 2024.

I'm going to order a 2024 ZL1 in VOM & a 2024 ZL1 CE at 8am tomorrow morning, and my salesman said he is going to leave the 2023 ZL1 order running. If the 23 gets picked up I'll cancel the 24's. Whichever 24 gets picked up I'll cancel the other one. |

Im ordering a 24 ZL1 also. I think they are going to be very limited and hard to get, but I'd like to have last year.

I'm trying the same approach and just trying to find what I want in a 23 ZL1 is not turning up anything. Last Dealer I spoke with acted like I was wasting their time by wanting a new car.

I was going to do the same. But luckily found a 2023 on the dealer lot that was available. I took the bird in hand in case I was not successful getting a 2024. Canceled on my 2023 2SS 1LE order.

You will have to get your dealer to submit a 2024 order. Final 2023 allocations were last week and 2024 allocations start on 6/29. 2024 orders can be submitted now although there is no pricing from GM yet.

Thanks for all your wealth of information. If I was in the US I'd buy from you. My dealer told me that my 1100 status order would get automatically rolled over to a 2024. What he meant was they would re-enter it for me automatically, which in my mind is not automatic. My ZL1 order is 7 1/2 months old, and still at 1100. I'm wondering if it is because I added the CF5 sunroof or the IOT navigation? Are any Camaro's getting delivered with sunroofs? I'm really not seeing any in dealer inventory. If that is an issue with getting it built I'll delete the sunroof and nav if needed. |

Luckily I ordered my 23 last year and after a 7.5 month wait got it. So if I swing and miss on a 24, I’m still enjoying my 23.

I check Chevy chat every day and it has said dealer submitted the order but it was not accepted by GM. Today i checked and received this message: Thank you for your patience! Our records show that the order has been accepted and is working towards the production process. You can continue to follow up with us for an update or reach out to your selling dealershp for further detailed information. Does this mean the car will definitely be produced? And would it be a 23 or 24? I called my dealer and it is still showing 1100 status according to them, but they have not been very helpful. There is another car I am looking at that I need to give an answer on but if my car is guaranteed to be produced based on being accepted I would probably pass. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks |
