2023 ZL1 1LE tires

Long story short I should be picking up my car in the next two weeks. I have a SS 1LE now and thought I would have the same model tires but noticed it’s the 3r, so even less tread and probably worse in weather?

I don’t drive a ton and try to avoid rain (snow not even an option). I am guessing the f1 supercar 3’s are better in the rain than the 3r? Has anyone put the 3’s on the ZLE? It seems like everyone loves the MPS4’s on their ZLE but I’ve really enjoyed the supercar 3’s. They are definitely a little iffy in rain and need to be careful but I feel like the 3r’s may be far worse.

Any experience with those 3 tires mentioned would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Definitely sounds like the 3Rs are not a good option for you. They will be worse in the rain and wear faster. Maybe sell them right away and go for the MP4 or something else that offers zle sizes.

Yes 3r is worse in rain and wear than 3. If you liked the 3 then you can go with that again. Or if you want to sacrifice some dry performance for better rain performance you can buy the PS4S or ECS02.

Appreciate the responses. Is there a noticeable difference in dry weather performance from the 3’s to ps4s? I’m sure some people on here have some experience with both. 3’s are not comfortable in the rain, but just have to be smart. Heard the ps4s is far better, but rather have the dry weather if it’s noticeable.

Thanks!

For strictly street driving I think the PS4S are definitely better on a ZLE and made a big difference on my car. They don't really need to be very warm and they hook really good even when it's cloudy and the street isn't hot.

I think even with the 3 they still some some heat in them, right?

PS4S are the king for street. Won't last on the track.

The SC3 has more dry grip than the PS4S or Conti EC Sport when it's hot. As temps drop into the 40s They will actually have a little less grip. When it rains, the PS4S and ECS are the two best street tires on the planet.
