Colgan Bra for my SIM w/mirror protectors - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Received my carbon fiber bra today. And before the haters get started, it is only used when I make trips, and is removed when its wet.

The mirror covers and bra were really easy to install, as all the ears were pre bent. Well worth the investment.

No chipped paint on my nose or mirrors.

Atcer----dude, i love your car.... would like to get one of the colgan bras. so it really was easy to install?? i had one for my '05 gto, and it was virtually impossible.... just stowed it in the trunk and it went with the car when i traded! ha! but i want one for the ss for long road trips. they really do work.. had them on both my c5 and c6 vettes.....
also---i absolutely love your wheels! just the type i want to put on our cgm 2ssls3! would you let me know what they are?? many thanks!

LOOKS real good...I myself bought the same thing last month with 3 other guys in Montreal...which we also will be using for trips only...especially the Trip to Georgia this April...

I will be buying one also - haters; whatever, the front of my car will always look like new. I don't have a good clear bra installer in my area so this is it for me for now.

Go to colgancustom.com to order. Took a week. The wheels are grey super finish Boss motorsports 338 in 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear. Factory tires fit fine as did the pressure sensors. Glas you like it.

The bra took me more time to get out of the box then to install it. About 5 minutes or less.

How does the Colgan mask "clip" onto the wheel wells, under hood, etc. I'm always worried about paint wear at clip on points.

Looks nice but, I don't want to cover up my mailslot. I'm contacting them to see if I can get one with a mailslot cutout.

I contacted them and the SS bra they have DOES have an opening for the mail slot. Will be ordering this.

I've had mine for nearly a year. I like it as it gives great protection, looks damn good and I could go on and on. To hell with haters! Its your car, do what you want to do with it.
I didn't get the carbon fiber one though tempted. I just didn't know how it would look though I was thinking it was just the way it was embossed over the leather like grain that I have on mine. Still its all about protection. I get a lot of compliments on it and I for one rather had spent the $135 for the nose and mirror covers then $1500 minimum for the 3M film. I'm all about doing as many mods as possible. I was able to do a whole lot more with that money.

i just ordered the black mirror covers, there a great deal and seem great to use when i travel on the highway.. how do they hold up when your driving and how do they stay on?

There is a bungee type cord in the outer ring and a velcro strap underneath to tighten it down.
