V6 has plenty of power.. its as fast as 2004 Mustang GT
especially for a 16yr with probably no real driving experience..
V6 runs 0-60 in 5.5 to 5.9 secs and has a top speed rated to the speed limiter 155mph

Actually, only the SS is limited to 155. The V6 is limited to 120mph, or something like that. It has different tires that aren't rated to go to 155, thus is limited to far less.

The LS is limited to 115 because of the tires, and the LTs are limited to the same 155 as the SSs

I think...iirc, if the limiter is taken off the SS it'll reach high 170s

Cool, I didn't know the exact speed or specifics, but I did know that not all V6's had the same speed limiter as the SS's.

Getting to the high 170's would definately take a long straight road. I've done 155, and it was still going up. I'd estimate it was gaining a 1mph per second or two when I hit the limiter.
