Got my XM resubscribe call today

My car has been in the shop for the last 3 weeks being repaired. I bought my car on December 8th, so the 3 month trial has just expired.

Today they called and offered a deal.

5 months for $23.05 total.

I'm ok with that, as I like listening to a few stations when I'm out in eastern Washington where there is no radio. Blue Collar Comedy has me hooked, I suppose. I still mainly listen to my iPod, but having alternatives is nice.

I asked to do a one-time payment so it won't automatically resubscribe.

I figure if they decide to keep offering deals like this, I'm ok with resubscribing.

And, they'll start the service in a week which is about when I'll get the car out of the shop.

Sounds good! I love the different channels and lack of talking. I'm all about tunes when I'm driving and having options for 80's and Hair Nation and even Caliente really lets me enjoy a huge range of music that's rather limited on normal radio where I live.

From the sounds of it guys are letting it lapse and waiting for the call from them. Then act uninterested and they give you a deal.

Depends on how much you bicker with them. Never take the first price they offer. I got $77 for a full year last fall, I didn't let mine expire at all. Now I see they've lowered it even more, to less than $5 a month!!

Thats exactly how I did on my Acura when I had it. Planning on doing the same for the Camaro. I would definitely only do one-time payment, its a lot easier for them to give you cheap deals that way when they call you at end of term

Ours expired two days ago and was shut off without the call! We like it so I called and asked for the $77/yr rate I have read about here. They were very nice and gave us the rate! I also asked them to bill us so I didn't have to give them creditcard info!

My sister used to work for them and told me basicly that if someone calls and says they wanna cancel their subscription, they will cut you a good deal just to keep you. I decided to try it when my wifes subscription in her Lancer was up and the operator gave me the same 5 month deal, and she said if we called back when it was up they would keep giving us that deal. I figure one call every 5 months is worth it.

They offered me somthing similar like this. I read the fine print and it casually states that after the 5 month period my months payment would go back to $13 something. I have been with XM for some time and I am not going to pay $13/month for service. When I get close to the last month on the offer I plan on calling for a better price or canceling. If they want your services they will work with you.

I get this comercial stuff even tho they said my radio won't have comercial. Like Kiss channel. Then again i'm on trials right now once that's expired i expect to have no comercial. If possible no talking LOL, i just want to listen to music not listen to Djs talking.

Im currently goin through my 3 month trial till May, i added the best of Sirius to the trial, cause i wanted to listen to Howard Stern. I love the XM, hate local radio, play the same stuff over nad over, and im soooo sick of commercials. Always a good song on XM. I sure dont plan on getting rid of it, i either plan on getting the yearly deal, or go ahead and get the lifetime. You can pay the lifetime and 5 installments.
