Tim Horton Childrens Foundation - Camp Day Cruise - Sunday, May 30th, 2010

I don't know why I didn't post this here earlier. This is a multi-forum charity event if you'd like to attend. You can register at the event but drivers/passengers are asked to donate to help cover the cost of the food/drinks.

About the Tim Horton Children's Foundation Charity

The Tim Horton Children's Foundation was established in 1974 by Ron Joyce, Co-Founder of the Tim Hortons chain, to honour Tim Horton's love for children and his desire to help those less fortunate.

The Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization committed to providing a fun-filled camp environment for children from economically disadvantaged homes. Year-round, local children are selected from each of the communities in which a Tim Hortons store operates, giving thousands of children the opportunity to attend one of our camps.

Children living in economically disadvantaged homes often do not have access to supports that develop positive life skills. With 1 in 6 children across Canada and the United States living in an economically disadvantaged home* , the Tim Horton Children's Foundation provides opportunities for these children to develop into positive, contributing members of their communities. The Tim Horton Children's Foundation camp experience is designed to give children confidence in their abilities through participation in challenging programs. They experience pride in their accomplishments as they succeed in attaining their goals, and they gain a positive view of this world and their future in it.

This year the Foundation will serve close to 16,000 children from economically disadvantaged homes. Together we are truly making a difference.

We will continue with the Multi-Tiered Prize - Donation Packages; featuring limited edition Tim Horton Children Foundation (THCF) gifts, based on the donation level.

Anyone planning to attend?
I will be attending the show & shine portion, but can't make the cruise.

It's going to be a big show, with some exotics, from the Ferrari club pre-registered, possibly a Ford GT40, a Audi R8 all schedulled to appear.

F.Y.I. to everyone who may not be familiar with this event. We've all heard of the Camp Day, where by the proceeds of sale go to the charity.

The Cruise Event was started by, not only a car enthusiast and fellow member, but also a franchise owner. What better way to raise money for a worthy cause, then to get a bunch of your car buddies together, and go for a cruise. This is an annual event, as you may have noticed by the pictures, it may have started with corvette owners, but it's sure expanding to other goreous cars as well.
