Need help with Door and Dash inserts!!
Does anybody know what kind of paint remover will work to get the paint off the inside of the factory door inserts without damaging the plastic???

you can damage them....if you are not experienced at this thing. Polycarbonate is tricky stuff and I have seen people damage MC helmets by using the wrong remover.

Graffiti remover is pretty safe. That's what I sanction in my DIY thread. However, even with that there is still a potential to damage the plastic. That stuff is polycarbonate, so it's pretty sensitive.
Sanding is your safest bet - takes longer (a lot longer) but you'll have peace of mind knowing you're not damaging the plastic. |

its a great DIY.... but like the author of the DIY says above, polycarb is tricky stuff - I would take them off and let a body shop spray them...JUST MY OPINION...have mod my response above as we are on the same page

so for the sanding of the parts what grit did you use and what did you do after sanding? Like did you have to make it shiny or does wet sanding take care of it?
