Best Quality Gas?
I've gotten different opinions on this but wanted to run it by you guys. there's a Shell, BP, Exxon, and Chevron by my house. Which do you guys think has the best quality? Oh there's also Costco, which i'm a member of LOL

Of your list I say Chevron. Also read some analysis some where (don't remember where) that basically said the same thing. BP (Arco) is at the bottom.
True story, I own a King O'Lawn lawn mower (the big ones that have the 7 blades and are self-powered) that I took in to the manufacturer to get tuned. The service guy come out and fires it up. Looks at it for a bit and asks if I've put Arco in it. I say yes and he says baaaad. Explains Arco for some reason hardens a rubber flap that's in the carb. Quotes me a price to fix it and tells me "don't run Arco in it!" Now I run Chevron or 76 in it. I know, how is a lawn mower related to a car? I'm just saying if my lawn mower dosn't like it, I'm sure our Camaros won't either.

Simple answer.... Try each one and make your own decision.

IMO Shell ! Seems to be working best for me ! 93 oct.! Back in the day, Exxon premium had red dye in it and it was good stuff! Seems it went down hill after they got rid of the red!

I exclusively use Shell 91 in the Camaro (91 is as high as we get in Cali except for race gas). I had to use Chevron once though when I was out of town.

I would stay the heck away from BP, bad, bad, bad. I only use Shell V power! Well just got the car two weeks ago, but V power is the best.

I'm noticing that a lot of people on this Forum use 91? We only have 87, 89, 93 in Illinois. Is 91 the highest Octane in some States, is so that sucks!

As far as the thread goes, I stay away from BP. Shell is the only other one on the list that iv personally used and they're good IMO. |

Shell is the only gas I run in my car... plus I use fuel rewards so my gas prices are cheaper! Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
