splitter
I had got a chin splitter for my camaro from phastec performance and I installed it the day after i got it and after 2-3 minutes of driving on the highway the splitter flew off I went back to get it and could find it I was kind of skeptical about the hardware it came with which was 4 small screws and some double sided tape so I used what it came with which was no good since it did not hold up so I contacted to see if they can help me out and then and they replied with UNFORTUNATELY WE CAN NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT....so ya this really sucks that I lost my money and a chin splitter

Um, I don't know where my buddy got his, but came with about the same hardware, and he got up on the interstate, granted he was hauling butt, as in, well very fast.
Anyway, splitter flew right off and nailed a buddy's car that was tailing him. Wish I had a picture, and a brand, I might see what I can come up with.

Ouch! thats really sucks. Sorry to hear that. Which Splitter because I'm looking to get a ACS T5 Splitter from Phastek soon and I certainly don't want this to happen.

Really?
Seriously, you HAD to think about this when you were installing the piece. Didn't physics cross your mind? At sixty miles per hour, sticking your hand out the window shows how much resistance the air exhibits. A splitter is a good-sized piece, too. Hopefully you kept the stock piece. An employee of mine lost his camper shell on the freeway just like this, but in his defense, he bought the truck used and never noticed it was only held on with double-sided tape; no clamps, no screws or bolts. He said it hit the pavement in back of him and exploded into a million tiny fiberglass pieces. Luckily there was no one behind him. John B.

Sorry to hear this.
Sounds like the pos I got from Ebay. It was a copy of the SLP splitter. I looked at the screws and the crappy quality and set it aside and ordered up the SLP splitter. It comes with bolts and nuts to fasten it down. Nice quality piece, I would highly recommend it. |

That's weird. Mine is held on by (If I remember correctly) 6 screws. He's e had the car over 140 with no issues.
