I was semi-decent at both. Siiigh.

There is some chemistry involved if you take an IC engines class as well, or at least there was for me.

Haha yeah I know that feeling. I'm in aerospace engineering and dealing with diff equations now and my 3rd physics, and don't forget fluids

I just looked it up. I have to take Math 151 (Calculus) and I can switch over to Mechanical Engineering.

Ughh. I don't know what to do.

What is in your heart? If what you are doing is what you hope and dream for don't change because it is hard. ME will be hard too.

And the ever popular Thermodynamics. But at least I had engine design and transmission design to make up for it

I could go either way honestly. I'm just worried that if I don't get into vet school, then I'm stuck with a degree I can't do very many things with.

Then again, I'd be insanely mad if I switch to ME, graduate, and GM stops hiring.

Sadly as you are discovering nothing is certain. Mrs. Number 3 and I had a rough example of that last year.

All you can control is how hard you work.

Do you know if GM lets people shadow engineers at all? I'm sure they wouldn't allow people into Warren or anything, but maybe at assembly plants?

If calculus is "ugh," Mechanical Engineering is going to be a brutal major for you. Calculus was the first of my half-dozen pure math courses, and most of my other courses (fluid classes, all the different thermodynamics classes, motion, stresses, etc) were calculus in disguise.

The plus side is that once you've got your degree, you rarely have to do any actual math, and you can find work in a huge range of industries. Everybody needs M.E.s.

I took Calculus in high school, but I can't say I remember a lot of it. I didn't do too bad in it (except the AP test, but that pretty much murdered our entire class).

I figure I'll give it until next year. A few of the classes I'm taking now can be used towards ME anyways.

You start on the adoption papers and Fenwick can schedule the big surgery.
