Chevy SS Sedan Engine
Does the new chevy ss use an LS3 or L99? I assumed it would be an L99 like auto camaros. Wondering why it is rated at 415 horsepower? What is different to account for the extra 15 hp?

LS3 is used. I assume exhaust packaging and tuning account for the changes.

Yep, it's the LS3. They are responding quite well to mods and putting out good numbers too! We just installed Stainless works LT headers, Roto-Fab intake and a JDP Dyno/street tune on this one:
