Does anyone have a DIY for leather seats install

I have thought about putting leather seats in my car, but I was wondering how hard it is to do. If anyone has any pics or anything I would like to see it.

I don’t have any instruction to install the leather but I have done it myself and I belief that I did a great job. I have done the driver side twice since the airbag light came on and I didn’t fix it perfectly.
The passenger seat was easy since it’s my second attempted.
The pictures attached are all what I have. The driver seat is from the first attempt, I don’t have any recent picture.
Good luck

Got mine from www.partswebsite.com
You may ask Patrick who is a member here for a quoits from www.gmpartshouseusa.com/
If he may give you a better deal

I ordered the driver seat cover on thanksgiving since they had free shipping
and the passenger seat on new-year since the shipping was free as well

Driver
Headrest 92246225 $49.56
Seat back cover 92241633 $234
Seat cover 92240488 $230.54

Passenger
Headrest 92246225 $48.73
Seat back cover 92241633 $234
Seat cover 92240488 $230.54

The total cost $1,027.37 which is a lot, but I belief it worth it since I wanted them from the beginning.

I didn’t change the backseat but I might later.

Did you add heated seats? Do the hog rings for the leather go in the same spot as the cloth?

Did you disconnect the battery before disconnecting the seats or did the CEL go on for another reason?

Did you add heated seats?
Sadly no.

Do the hog rings for the leather go in the same spot as the cloth?
Yes, the leather and cloth have the same spot.

Did you disconnect the battery before disconnecting the seats or did the CEL go on for another reason?
Yes I did disconnect the battery, but it seem that I did not plug airbag wire right.
So I had to take the seat off again, and re-plug it. Then the light went off.

The seats look great! You may never need em again, but hog ring pliers make installing the rings a breeze, especially in the hard to reach areas. I got mine from an automotive upholestery supplier.
