Aren't all (or most) Mustang sales to rental car companies?

Are the sales misleading as most are to rental car companies. Whereas I think most Camaro sales are for actual buyers - anyone have the stats on this?

Actually Hertz rents out Camaros, and I don't believe they rent out Mustangs.

A small percentage (less than 5%) of Camaro sales were to fleet...

Hertz does mostly mustangs. They have lots of 2010s, now too.

Avis rents Camaros. I think Budget has some, too.

I'm thinking the major spike in sales in May for the Mustang were graduation presents

Wrong on both accounts. Avis was the first to have the Camaro however it seems that many Avis locations no longer have them or have very few. Hertz in fact has quite a large number of 2010 Camaros (they even have some SSes). I was recently been to Pittsburgh and New Jersey and both times Hertz had a bunch of Camaros on hand. Hertz does have a good number of Mustangs as well.

However to say that most Mustang sales were to rental car companies is simply foolish. Look the Mustang sold more than the Camaro in May. Big deal it's BRAND NEW and has a totally new engine, of course it is going to have higher sales in it's first month or so out.

All or most??? More like a small percentage...but that is the same for nearly any American automaker for almost every model.

Who cares? A sale is a sale. Does it really matter if Mustangs sell more than Camaros once again? It is normal. Camaros outselling the Mustangs is an exception. I like the cars, not the sales figures.
