HELP! What are these bearings from??

Ok so I was changing my oil tonight and I pulled the magnetic drain plug out and these were stuck on the end. I have a Jannetty installed cam package so I'm gonna call them in the morning but SHOULD I BE WORRIED??

Thanks guys.

I have no idea where they came from, but yes, I would be VERY concerned!!!! In fact, I wouldn't start your engine until you find out where they came from.

They look like needle bearings from rocker arms

Thanks a lot guys. Weird part is I have about 4500 miles on the cam and valve train upgrade and not a single noise or problem. Or is this something that I might not notice until it completely goes? I would have expected a lot more bearings from the rocker arms?

Do you think these stray ones could have fallen out of the old rockers when they did the trunion upgrade?

Sounds like I have the same Jannetty cam package...I've had no problems whatsoever and just ordered a magnetic drain plug. I would say since the trunion upgrade would be done on a press/vice that these are not from the stock rocker bearings. Though when you are pressing out the stock ones those needles go everywhere. I'm very curious what Ted has to say.

Yeah I have the 470 but the only difference is the cam. I'm gonna call Ted in the morning.

Send a message via AIM to DietCoke
Those are 110% rocker arm needles. Pull yours and get the trunion upgrade.

He says he already has the trunnion upgrade...hopefully you didn't lose a snap ring on the trunnion and lose one of the comp bearings...if a bearing from the comp upgrade kit comes completely off of the trunnion, there are similar needles that you could lose inside the engine.

Yeah unless they are stuck in the engine elsewhere these are all that came out and I flushed some extra oil through. I think Jannetty's is closed for a couple more days but I want to talk to Ted directly before I go pulling valve covers cuz idk what exactly to look for. Maybe I'll be doing a forged stroked sooner than I thoughtN
