It's been covered, but like tjbusa said, "no real reasons". I ordered 10/15/08 and still don't have my car.

Response from dealer,

Wes, as they well know allocation comes on a monthly basis and encompasses the next months worth of orders…. Your vehicle just happens to be as the end of that months allocation…I want you to be happy with your transaction and am working within the framework of the GM system to get you your car at the earliest possible moment… I have nothing to gain and all to lose by a) not being honest with you and b) adding to your frustration and angst…. There will always be other dealers wanting to take shots at each other but we all must work within the system established by GM for the production and transport of the vehicle… I have attempted to keep you informed every step of the way and send you verifiable documentation as to the internal GM process… I will continue to push your car along the process in any way that I can with your continued commitment and support….

If that isn't deflecting....I don't know what is....

Here is how it would move if your dealer had a allocation for your order when you ordered it. It looks like you order almost the same day as I did.

I went to the dealership and talked to a salesman the first part of June to get to know him sort of thing and talked about the Camaro and ordering one. I went back on Saturday 6-13-09 and placed my order and gave a deposit/partial down payment. The following Monday 6-15-09 the dealer put the order into the system. My order was accepted by GM on 6-29-09 and was waiting for a TPW. There was no movement last week due to the fact the plant was down for a week. Now this week according to "the viz" I now have a TPW of 8-10-09. So now it is just a waiting game until it gets built and delivered to the dealership. My guess is I'll see it by the end of August or the first part of September. Won't be long now.

So I cancelled my order on July 20th after confronting the dealer in person. He turned green when he found out I showed up unannounced....he was 83 miles from my home.

The following day I placed the same order with another "honest" dealer. He tried to input the order, but due to the SS/M6 constraints, he was not able to place the order

One week later, he informed me the constraints were lifted and my order was placed and at entry code 2000. I spent 5 weeks at 1100 at the other dealership....I wasted so much time, but am back on track now

I went to my local city dealer ( I can talk as fast as he can ) and found out he had 20 allocations with only one left. I realized that with him I was in for a long wait. So I drove out about a hour from town to a small dealer were my kids live. Found out he had five allocations, two were filled with one car in and I would be third in line. I ordered the car 6-1-09 and now have a vin #. It really helps to find a honest dealer. Good Luck !

Although I was #2 at my dealer, my car being CGM pushed me back closer to #6, add in the fact that my first order spent 22 days in QC missing the RS package. After my re-order I was fast-tracked... 21 days from the time they submitted til I went 3800... tomorrow will be my car's 21st day in QC this go-around.
Here I am approaching 9 months, no car, my Evo about to drive off with it's new owner. I have lost all my hair, and have had 8 "minor" strokes All in all it has been a long 9 months... but the car will be worth it.
