Personally, I would rather have a vette than a supercar. Looks pretty nice though

but to have it and say you have 1 of 20 cars made. lol Id take it in a heartbeat. I love how there's a "Oh Crap" handle on the center console for the passenger. lol

That car is beautiful inside and out in my opinion, and unfortunately completely inaccessible.
Even if I was lucky enough to have one, I would be to afraid to drive the damn thing because I wouldn't want to get it dirty, damaged etc.....and heaven forbid if someone dinged or keyed it.....they would have to die.

I heard they're upping the amount they make to 100. Don't remember where.
So I guess we have 5 times the chance of getting one. |

Anyone who would take a Vette over a Murci has never driven the LP640. It wreaks with class, power and has over 200 more RWHP then ZO6. Vettes are a dime a dozen. Vettes are cheap and affordable cars compared to a Murci or even a Gallardo.

I've never driven either car. But the reason why I would rather have the Corvette is because I'm not a flashy person, I don't need to be seen. Besides, the corvette is more car than I would ever use, and exotic supercars even more so. On top of all that, I just love the rumble of american V8 muscle.

I'll "second" the opinion that in the "bang for the buck" category, you cannot beat the Corvette. And IMO, they're just as "classy" as a Lamborghini. In fact, you could make the argument that they are more classy in that they are more understated than the Lambo's outrageous styling. I AM NOT saying Lambo's are not classy, but the styling may be a little "over the top" for some, especially the Murcielago. (sp.?)
And in reality, the Corvette is more "userfriendly" than the Lambo. Maybe the reason they are "a dime a dozen", (aside from the obvious price difference) is because the majority of the population can afford them, can afford the operate them, provide more than enough performance than most owners need, and they're "reasonable". I'm not being negative towards Lamborghini's, but don't sell the Corvette short. |

My buddy Ward has a gorgeous car that has outrageous styling. Side by side it is so much nicer then the Murci. Ward owns a Saleen S7 with Twin Turbos. The fastest stock factory car I ever have been in. Half the price of a Bugatti and ten times nicer. I have never been in a Veyron yet but I still prefer the S7

I like the Lambo's, don't get me wrong there, but the fact that I've never been in one is a tantamount to the fact I cannot, nor ever will be able to afford one. So given the future potential choices: Vette, Viper, or Porche....I'll take my Vette.
Oh, and...even if I could afford a Lambo, or Ferrari, or Buggatti...I cringe to couple the inurance and gas expenses... I like that S7, tell your friend I said it was hot! |
