Cost of HID xenon retrofit

For those questioning the cost of the RS package, I was playing in the parts computer and looked uo the cost of the HID light assembly. $808 for one side. This did not include the ballast and misc bits. FYI for those thinking about doing the lights from parts.

my question is how much to replace these things when they go out, is it just a light or is it a whole mechanism

They will never go out and will last longer then the car will as long as they are properly maintained and the casing stays intact. You shouldn't need to replace them unless you get into a wreck.

Does anybody else think the ambient lighting is a bit cheesy, That lighting package is what made me go to a 1ss. Going to order the console guages after my car gets here and install them myself

I'm definitely getting ambient lighting as an aftermarket job and new panels as one of my interior 1SS upgrades down the road. I downgraded from a 2SS once I learned the lighting was not going to be on the dash and on the doors only..
