My dealer just siad that the car works great with a IPOD and that the radio will not be upgraded.

Show Him the TSB on the PDIM and also show him the Camaro's Owners Manuel. The number of songs that the First PDIM's could process is not the same number that is listed in the PDIM, it is less, also I would test various electronic devices and Prove to the dealer that it is not working like it should and You will not be statisfied until they CORRECT the Problem.

I showed them that but they keep saying they can't find the TSB in there system. They said they are checking something and getting back to me.

my dealership said they found the tsb but could not figure out the version of mine. or something like that. said they were going to call gm specialist this morning. im going to go pick it up today and see if they got the part ordered. I bet they plugged an ipod into it and it worked fine so they denied the claim. so i will take my zune and cord with me.

They have the TSB but can't follow the directions in step 5 to get the hardware/software version?

no they can't. Infact he said they tried multiple times and could never get it to pop up. But you know what, the clock in my car is off. So they were evidently pushing it when the radio was in xm mode. So what did they do, reprogram it to cc/ce. I show up plug in my zune, and it still wasn't working right. But bam in 10 seconds I was able to get the info to pop up. So I gave them the part number, and they orderd it.

Might be a good idea to take a copy of PI0055B with u and discuss it with the service tech otherwise they may order the wrong PDIM.

I went to the dealer with my zune. We went to a car on the lot with the DB/DB update and had no issues. We then went to my camaro with the CE and they now see the issues.

i called my local dealer and they can get the new part number listed but its very pricey. i can't seem to find it online for that much cheaper though with all the shipping costs to canada.... should I just go ahead and get it from my dealer?

Did u show them the PI0055B? According to that, they should replace it under warranty, if your car came with the usb option.
