New Stablemate... here we go.
2011 Mercury Milan Premier I4. Slim 2010/2011 pickings from Ford that weren't outrageously expensive (like most new models due to all the fancy tech). Tried hard to get a good price on a decently outfitted Taurus but the lease/purchase per month prices were just stupid high for what they gave ya. Same with the new Edge and Explorer. Treated almost everything in the inventory like most dealers treat 5th gens, almost like everything including the blue oval itself was a golden calf. Only what Mercs they had left on fire sale cut the mustard. For now it's something to hold her over (it's really not much to speak of either for a supposed 'luxury' car) until something better comes along and the market/our budget see eye to eye once again. I can see why Ford is killing Merc. |

Those Milans are actually very nice cars. Ford killed Mercury a while back, it's just now dying. Sad to see another once-proud marque go away. My 69 Cougar was a great car, as was my 2003 Mercury Marauder [after I put a blower on it.]

Seriously Ford.. thanks for killing the Panther. My Grandmother had at least 7 leased Town Cars in a row and those were some bitchin' crusin machines along the gulf. Now she leases a Lexus.. Funny thing is that she wants to burn that Lexus in a fire and get another Town Car. It's been nothing but a giant POS. In the end it's nice for what we are paying, that's for sure.. but it's lacking and feels like an afterthought for some reason compared to the Fusion and MKZ. Hard to say why.. but it just does having played with all three. |

I have a Milan, and I really like it alot. I don't think the OP will be disapointed in the purchase.
