Contact Scosche and mention the issue. See if they can issue an RMA and swap it out for a new one.

I'm having remote and chime issues. The remote doesn't really bother me since I don't have remote start but when the door or seatbelt chimes don't stop I just hit my hazards or blinker on and off real quick and they stop. I'm not 100% happy but I like it a lot better than my stock dash

I have the ghost chime issue randomly as well; gotta try the hazards/TS thing... I usually just turn the radii up and wait it out... like your method a whole lot better

HELP! Is any one REALLY good with radios? I have a Scosche kit with a AVH-P1400DVD unit that isnt getting power. It powered on for about 3 seconds and shut off. I think i may have wired something wrong? I have an extra yellow/black and purple/white wire from the radio harness not being used. Does any one have a Pioneer unit with there Scosche kit?

The colors/wires should match up perfectly with the diagram from your radio manual to the scosche harness. Extra wires are for the nav units. It's straight forward. Check your wires make sure they match. Hopefully it's nothing bad. Does it power on every time you turn on the car? Hopefully you didn't fry the head unit

I would just use what they have listed:
http://www.scosche.com/contact

Good luck. They have been less-than-helpful with me.

Glad I found this thread, I've been debating the Scosche Kit over the Metra Kit. Sure the Scosche Kit looks more "refined" compared to the Metra Kit, but are all these problems worth the good looks?
