The wire i indicatsd is the one you need. Blue = violet. The wire is in the connector at the ecm and not at the brake pedal.

Thanks Blake for explaining this.

The thing is, my wiring diagram is different then one I found when I was searching for answers... The other diagram doesn't have any connection going to the brake switch. So I called Hurst technical assistance and they don't have a clue as to why my diagram is different, and if the wire is even needed. They are supposed to let me know when they find out.

While I'm waiting I went ahead and tried it. IT WORKS! Without any wiring going to the brakes it works perfectly fine. Only thing I really learned so far is that Hurst technical assistance is really bad...

If anyone knows what the extra wire going to the brake switch actually does please let me know. Thanks!

What is the part number of your kit? The only instructions I found are for part number 5671518 for a 2010-2015 camaro. There is no mention of connecting to a violet/white wire. It only shows red, black, brown in the diagram.

The brown wire is for the momentary switch and gets connected to the red wire from the solenoid.

If it is working like it is supposed to, I wouldn't worry about it.
