Mothers Wash and Wax

Hey - Is Mothers Wash and Wax solution safe to use for car soap on the 1LE? My concern is the flat black hood.

Not sure about the Mothers. I use the Meguiars Wash and Wax on my entire car and have had no issues with the hood. It looks great when finished. Also, I always dry the hood first and do not wash it in the sun. Hood should look great.

I use Mothers on my 1LE with no problems with my hood, it's still flat black a year later.

I stay away from wash n' wax mixes, but I detail on the side. I would personally stick with a regular mild soap, and use a spray wax if you just want to maintain.

Thanks for the feedback - 1sick_eg - any reasons you stay away from wash n' wax mixes? Just curious - I appreciate the insight fellas.

I just like to keep stages seperate. I'll use spray waxes depending on what customers want. I rarely use them on my personal car. I'll usually do a wash/decontaminate/sealant every 4-6 months, and wax every month and half to two months. Maintain with a mild detergent and quick detailer.
