in terms of performance-

any GM produced C6> any GM produced 5th gen Camaro

and I am willing to bet the Z28 will be lucky to match the performance of a base LS3 Vette
No I am saying IMO I think the SS/RS is better than a base vette. If someone said you can have an SS/RS or a C6, I would choose the SS/RS. I like the Z06 and ZR1.

uh, what? many of us drive camaros that are priced similarly to base vette prices. we had the choice.

nothing but love for the vette here. if I wasn't dead set on having a halfway usable backseat, I'd be driving a c6 right now instead : )

But it's more that I always see it as you are paying way over on the value of the Vette. Not just performance but the total package. The only Vette I would considered owning would be a ZR1 but I don't think I'd even buy one of those. But I look at as I can buy a Mustang, build that beyond what the Vette is, including the Z06, and still be saving a lot of money and have nicer interior. So it's just from everyone's own perspective which this one is mine.

You would save a lot of money but you still have a Mustang. It is not all about speed. If you have the coin for a ZR1 you would not think twice about a Stang or Camaro. You are basing your opinion on what you could afford. You have to also factor in exclusivity. After all would you rather have a fast Mustang or a stock ZO6. No brainer for most.

If we are talking about performance, some people don't realize that if they went heads up with a base C6 they would be completely humiliated in every way possible.

All original including tires. Looking for a deal on a newer Callaway. Never mind the pic of the 99 30th anniversary T/A convertible.. I wouldn 't want it to taint this thread. I should have registered as GearHead.. I love Chevy's , Fords, Dodges.. about everything..

Right on!
