Anyone able to check this out?
I'm really interested in buying this SS Camaro and would like to see if anyone can run a VIN check on it. VIN 2G1FS1EW7A9160027.
I was thinking that I would stick witht he LT V6 Caramo but if I can get this SS V8 for a similar price why not get MORE POWER!! Any difference in maintance with the V8 compared to the V6 or worries that someone might have mechanically? The car has 38,000 miles and is a 2010. thanks, |

2.5 Qts more in oil roughly. Other than that, you may want a catch-can too.
I would go SS IMO. You'll be more satisfied with the bigger power. Its a Camaro for crying out loud But, if money is agreement you need to make, the Camaro is still great in a V6.

You might want to check on insurance between the two as well. Don't want to get blind-sided by that.

I looked it up and it has had quite a few issues for a car with 30,000 miles on it. I'll send you a PM with the details.

Insurance won't be much more at all between the two. My wife had a 2011 Malibu that we traded in for my Camaro, and the insurance was $7 more a month for the 2SS/RS Camaro. My wife and I are both 28 and reside in Michigan.

Oh, I guess I could say what we pay. We pay ours every 6 months, but if it were monthly, $76.

Yea I'm leaning more towards the SS. However the wifes gets a say in the decision as well and the SS is a manual and the LT is a auto... She has some experience with a standard trans but not much. I feel with that power she wouldn't like it in a manual. She drove our friends 2SS and loved everything about it but it was an auto as well.
Kiteboarder85- living in MI do you drive yours in the winter? If so how does it perform? |

Looks like the V6's are getting pretty good gas mileage. I will be buying a Camaro for a daily driver and I have a 45-60 minute to and from work. Coming home is moderate to heavy traffic at times. Right now I'm driving a GMC Sierra with aggresive tires which dont help with the gas mileage. The SS's dont seem to be getting any better mileage than my truck and would have to buy premium. But can you compare gas prices when you are driving a V8 Camaro? ha |

I'm getting 27 mpg with my SS on long highway drives. The Cold Air Inductions, Inc Cold air intake does wonders. Go with the SS, otherwise you'll be wanting one in a year from now.
If I were to drive mine in the snow, it wouldn't have a problem with smart driving discipline.

18-20 overall average on my 2lt. 25 miles to work, mostly highway but lots of stop and go. Long highway trips a little over 27.
