SCPA5 July Meet - 7/16/16 Quaker Steak & Lube York, PA

We had a lot going on this month so we didn't hold a regular meet for June. Now July is approaching and we can get back into the swing. We will be holding our regular meet for July, see details below.

When: Saturday, July 16th
Where: Quaker Steak and Lube 1411 Kenneth Rd York, PA 17408 followed by caravaning to Stillmeadow church of the nazerene for their car show
What time: 1:00 pm running until you want to go home or the Stillmeadow show finishes (no later than 7:00 pm)

All Camaro generations are welcome to attend as well as other Camaro friendly car guys. The Stillmeadow show has trophies for 1st and 2nd place for a variety of classes including a 2000+ category.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again, hope to see you all there!

Wish I could make it this weekend, but I have other obligations.

Can't wait to hear your exhaust with the headers on now DRKS1D3!

Spotted an ABM on South end of Hanover tonight, I've seen this car 3 times in passing. Has a DJ Grilles Predator grille installed. Never have seen it parked or at a car show.

Are we going to bail on this? Not much interest (again) from the SCPA5 "faithful".

I don't see reason to bail. It's not about numbers as much as it is about meeting up with fellow 5th gen owners & friends. I'm currently in the process of creating business cards to hand out. Kind of need to get the word out, there's a lot of 5th gens I see around yet they are no where at all to be found here on this site.

Maybe we should really look at changing the day or time of the meet starting next month. Might Sunday possibly work out better?

I suppose. It's just frustrating when you look at SEPA5 and they roll 15-20 cars deep at their monthly meets. Here we are with the same 4-5 guys month in...month out. How they've acquired and maintained their following is somewhat mystifying. We need the scoop.

It's not like we haven't been trying to find the "magic formula". We do more large scale events and get the same numbers as just showing up to normal events. It would be nice to have some people keeping on showing up instead of once and done. Maybe we smell or something? I typically wait to have my monthly shower until right before the meet so I smell better.

I hear ya. That one time last year, we had 12-15 cars show up at QS&L, then we never saw them again. I always enjoy the monthly meets. Nice cars, nice people, good food. Strange.

Would love to come to one of the meets, but something always comes up. Can't even get to Amish market shows & only live like 15 minutes from there let alone even drive the car. If I'm lucky I get to drive it maybe every couple of weeks, very frustrating probably be better off un loading it.

You don't smell. I will be switching brands for the weekend. I have my Lil Red Express truck up at Carlisle this weekend.

Surprised I didn't see anyone going to Super Chevy. I think it's this weekend.
