tune question

I have a CAI and exhaust installed. How much difference would a tune make? Do I download and install it or need to bring it to a shop? What is data logging? Does it violate the warranty, and if so, is it reversable? Thanks in advance.

Yes a tune does void warranty but BNR says its undetectable. I don't know. If you're an auto it helps especially with the tranny shift points. I think the gains are like 13rwhp Can't wait to get my tune

The exhaust your adding, is it CAT back or headers and everything?

If not headers and your staying with what you have you dont need a tune....a tune would make it a bit nicer, and setting the points in the trainy on an auto makes a world of difference in driving, but you dont need it.

If your going headers then yep you need one, can you get by without one with headers? sure, but your car will be running way under optimum.

If you decide to get a tune, and dont get the full exhaust with headers, get one of the tune packages sold on here...I forget who but he sells you a tune package and a tuner, you tell him what you have and he sets up the program, you then download it to the car.

As to the car, you void the power train warranty, if your seats go out your still covered for example.

(notice how I restrained from ranting about GM being bozos for not covering tuned engines? your welcome C5 )

Just to note 2012's cannot get headers because of the integrated pipe/new cylinder head design...
