I see what you are talking about.. seriously doubt it's corrosion.. It's probably some assembly lube/gasket cement or something similar from when they installed the kick ass belt drive.

You could call and ask about it to put your mind at ease..

LPE professionally details your car before you get it... including (especially) the engine, I bet it won't be there when you see your beauty once it is done...

You're gonna love those brakes. I love mine, they work great. Actually, you're gonna love the whole car. Can't wait to see your coil covers.
The coil covers i had done like these:
http://www.lingenfelter.com/engine-packages

I did this to give mine a slightly different look than most of the LPE Camaro's with coil covers. The ones on their site are from the old style maggie's, but Ryan said he'd make it work. Cant wait to see how they turn out.

My rear end was making some noise on take off, gear changes etc this week. Back to the shop to check the half shafts, rear end etc. Here is what we found!! This is the Differential Bushing or lack there of. Time to get the Pedders HD Diff Bushings in ASAP!! Big thanks to Pete for helping me work through this and will be getting it taken care of this week

Mine is also making noise, but I already have the HD bushings. We heard it during the install as well, the only thing we could chalk it up to was the amount of play in the driveline. So I am waiting for the new rear differential from LPE to be released, so I can step up on the gearing and bullitproff the rearend. Figure I might as well do the driveshaft at the saame time. Any word on when the rear diff carrier will be ready?

I'm no sure on the rear carrier but I did do the 3.70 gears and I am hoping the old diff will hold up

My rear diff seems to be holding up fine knock on wood.

I spent today installing my new Pedders supercar coilovers and the Pfadt camber plate kit. They fit together pretty well and will give me extra neg. camber up front at the autocross track.

I love the difference.. car feels more planted when hitting imperfections in the road - like bridge expansion cracks, potholes, etc. I can't wait to see how they work on the autocross track.

I thought the ride was good before with the Xa's.. it is better than I thought it could be with the supercar's. The car feels more stable.. the extra adjustability (having the bound and rebound separate) seems to settle the suspension better when traversing imperfections in the road. The ride is noticeably different.. in a good way.

A big thanks to Rob at Wretched Motorsports for setting me up with the new shocks...

my rear diff whines a little.. but is holding up pretty well. I may opt for the 3.72 gear change (over the winter) and re-shim to quiet it down. It is bearable. It I had to put up with the abuse I have been put
through lately I'd be whining too.

Speed.. I smoked those same bushings (pedders 1167 non-hd bushings in a little over 100 miles). I am glad to say the 1167 HD pedders are holding up nicely - have 900 miles on them now. They are as good now as the day they were put in. There is a little more rear end noise with them installed, but they really helped with squashing the wheel hop. I am happy with the trade off.

I'm looking forward to getting my Pedder's HD bushings in there!!

Pedders EP1167 differential bushes will NOT hold up under the use of the LPE RWHP. That said, Speed74SS was running a brand-x differential bush.

For those in the LPE Brotherhood that plan to drive their LPE as intended, you should be using the EP1167HD. The durometer of the material and the lack of NVH holes or voids mean that there will be some increase in differential noise. The OE differentials are a bit of a crap shoot. ALL of them are quiet with the OE NVH voided rubber bushes. The vast majority are quiet with Pedders EP1167 differential bushes with NVH holes, probably 95% or more. With the EP1167HD bushes everyone will experience a slight increase in differential noise while a handful will experience a HUGE increase in differential noise. The variable is how noisy the differential is to begin with. Since you can't hear it with the OE bushes in place, it is trial and error.

The down side of the EP1167 with the NVH holes is it durability in high RWHP applications. That is why for the LPE brotherhood we suggest the EP1167HD -- a virtually bullet proof solution.

I appreciate the help Pete!! There was a mix up when my dealership sent my old diff off as a core exchange to LPE/RPM. They forgot to take my Pedders HD Diff bushes out!! The Pfadt bushes happened to be in my new rear end when it came to my dealership. I knew my car was "sad" for some reason and it was because it was missing the Pedder's HD bushes that I had in there originally

Needless to say, my Pedders bushes are being overnighted to me and will reunited with my car tomorrow Is there anything special my dealership needs to do to re-install them - grease etc??

Thanks,
Nate

A bushes in the front two ears and B bushes in the rear ear. Grease only the inner hole of the bush where the ferule passes through. Your Camaro will be smiling again

Nate, are these Pfadt's new "street diff bushings" or the origional harder ones now named "Drag diff bushings"? Also is the void in the picture while the bushings are in the housing, or removed?
