Just finished installing mine. Can't drive it until spring, but that's one more mod off the list for this winter.

Silly question. Are any of you installing washers, or anything underneath it to prevent scratching and possible rust in case it that piece would ever shift or move a bit because of vibration? Just wondering if that would scratch the paint off and then be a candidate for rust at those sport..

I considered doing that to protect the paint, but decided its not going anywhere, it's a $185 part, so I'll leave it on the car if I sell it - no one will see under it.

Hint: If you hit it with a little Mothers Polish, it'll shine like, well, polished aluminum!

All Camaro convertibles come with one. Even the V6 models. I don't think its there fore the V8's torque... Its to stiffen the chassis to reduce cowl shake and improve handling because of the loss of a major structural component (the roof)...

Was the brace a quick install? A direct bolt on to any 2011 and newer SS? I don't have to drill any holes do i?

It takes literally 3 minutes unless you drop a bolt or something lol
