Looking for 200mph

Can a m6 reach 200mph with a gear ratio of 3.73:1?

I have reached 180mph before I backed off.

I am at 620 RWHP.

I just changed to 295. 315 tire setup MPSS. I was impressed with the smoother ride and less noise they made on the short drive home.

I did notice that the front tires do stick out a little past the front fenders.

I have lower the car one inch and have no rub issues.

I still have to install the peedders bushing in the subframe.
I also order a G92X. Cam from lg motor sports.

Comments?

Sounds nice, were you able to notice what the rpms were at 18o mph? That will give you a clue to how much more the car has left in it for speed. So you now have 295's on the front and 395 on the rear. Is 395 a typo?. if not that sounds really extreme. The car I have seems to sit really nice straight from the factory, do you think it was worth it to lower your car?.

Shouldn't be a problem if you get the new "Flowtie badge"

In all seriousness, I think you'll need more HP to achieve that goal, but

You need another 100 rwhp.

The Lingenfelter ZL1 that broke 200 mph had 720 rwhp.

if you are really serious I would swap out 5th gear.

there are two approaches to 200mph live with the sixth gear gear ratio and 700rwhp+ proabably more like 800hp if you wanted to do it in a 2 miles span.

or make 200mph attainable in 5th gear and maybe 650-675whp would get your there in 2-3 miles.

also factor where you are going to try to do it if memory serves it took a while for that lingenfelter car to do it even at 720hp.

both lingenfelter and hennessy cars have done it on video though it is possible for sure.

The Hennessey ZL1 broke 200 mph with their HPE700 package. That 700 is supposed to mean 700 crank hp. I believe that dyno-ed around 650 RWHP. It hit 203.9 mph.

That was a typo. Corrected to 315. Should I run smaller width tires up front?

After the cam up date I should be around 670-700hp. At least I am hoping for that.

I didn't notice my rpm at 180 I was focused mainly on the road.

I love the German autobahn at 4 am. They are empty.

im pretty much in the same boat.
i'm also sitting at 620rwhp and had it up to about 290kmh/180mph! Theres ample of gear left but it starts to run out of steam! You need more power or a different gear ratio...

P.S. it might go a bit faster but i had to back off as it started to drizzle
P.P.S. whipers work at 170+mph lol

you're sitting at roughly 5100 rpm if i remember correctly

swap in the automatic rear end and you'd be at 6250 in 5th @ 200mph
But probably not worth it, just get more power and call it a day!!! lol

It "starts" to run out of steam? I bet it has a little more then that in it. 620 rwhp and you should be knocking at the door of the 200 club! Shelby does it with about 590-600 rwhp and it's not any more aerodynamic then the ZL1. ZR1 does it with about 550 rwhp but yes, it is aerodynamically superior.

In the video posted of the Hennessey HPE700 ZL1, that dyno-ed at about 650 rwhp and it hit 203.9 pretty damn quickly to!

Video was awesome! I hate to request things like this of people but if you ever happen to do something like that again, is it possible to mount the camera by the speedo or so the heads up display is visible or something?

It always helps to have more power. I think it will do it with 650 whp if you have enough road. Hennessey took like 3+ miles, did it in the early morning with cool still air. I'm going to try to do it in just 1 mile in 3 days......
