Any " League Bowlers " Out there ?

Shot 719 last night. (203 258 258) Felt good last night. Thought it was gonna be my 300 night. Stupid ringing 10s and 9s. Lol!

averaging 232 and 229 in my two leagues for the first 3 weeks. Nothing big, just right around 700 every week. Only averaging 212 in tournies, keeping the cash out of my pocket

Oh yea I know it, but I was so nervous is that tenth frame lol. My legs felt like jelly. When I attempted to pick up the 10 it was more of failure lmao.

I was going to guess it was a ten-pin. Probably the most frequently left pin after a long string, IMO. A little nervous tension often kills the ball reaction.

Nice run there, though. And I always say when I have all strikes and opens: "Psh - spares are for suckers!"

629 and another team sweep. I blew a big set - went 253-196-180, I was too slow to adjust and my pin carry suffered. Felt like I was grinding the entire second half of the night. Oh well.

Update on the league drama I posted about above: The whiny protesters decided they were upset enough about the overturned re-matches that they quit the league entirely. It turns out that they were the team I bowled against in both matches. I had a feeling that was the case. They were 11-9 five weeks into a 35-week league. If the re-matches stood they would have been 12-8. So, WTF??? Good riddance to the drama queens.

It does unfortunately upset the prize fund calculations, but nobody is making a living based on a mixed-league's standings...

Oh yea. It was a pocket shot just a bad result. Had a pin go across the front of the 10 and just miss it.
Hopefully my next opportunity I'm better able to control the nerves now. That was my closest chance to one.

It'll come. It's been ten years since my last, and probably a couple or three years since I've strung the first eight or more. My game appears to be on a slow downward spiral. Though this season has been the best start I've had in years (except for the 456 in week one )

Frustrating night. 238-183-178. Tugged three into the nose for splits in the second game; it took a four-bagger to get the 183. Grumble grumble. Lost focus in the third game as the lane seemed to change rapidly and I didn't keep-up. Changed balls and made a big move to the left and finally started to zero-in, but it was too late. Needed two strikes and an 8-count in the 10th to shoot 600. Got the strikes, but then fluffed the last shot for a 7-count...d'oh! What made it worse is we only took one point.

Know all about the tugging. That 195 game I had a complete mental block about getting the ball out where it needs to be. My typical line is 30 to 4. I just couldnt get the damn ball past the 10 board that game. Just kept humping the shit out of the head pin. God that pisses me off! But finally got it straightened out 3rd game. And ya, a 599 is a kick in the junk! Lol!
