Long tube
I'm interested in the street legality/streetability of a long-tube header system... does anybody know where i could find more information on these things? I've tried searching, both google, and camaro5... can't seem to get any hits on this specific topic.

I don't think they make the car any less streetable...
Idk about legality though. Anybody know if you can put them on in California? |

Most likely not. I looked into it in the past. I know JBA makes shorty headers and long tubes that are legal too. Not yet for camaro. Anyone else, not likely legal :(

Is there a advantage/disadvantage to shorty headers/longtube?

Maybe we'll at least have the JBA option eventually though. |

Are we talking 5 or 10Hp....or 15-20Hp. Because it would depend on the price to even make the horsepower worth it...to me.

LOL...yeah, It is no problem doing pretty much anything to your cars around here. I would rather go with LTs but my concern is if they are more expensive and you only gain a very small ammount....then you see where I'm at. Like everyone else I just want the bang for the buck.

Yeah, that sounds pretty good. I am curious to see what people are gaining with their add-ons. Thanks

It depends on your car. Stock, long tubes won't make that much more at least without a tune. If you get cams, heads, supercharger etc.. and tune long tubes plus appropriate midpipe and catback make pretty big gains over stick exhaust.
