A small dent won't hurt the flow...

You could try and loosen the motor mounts and shift it to the right, but another member here tried that and after awhile the motor moved back. You could ask the header manufacturer to bend another header to avoid this problem, but it's not a guarantee it will work. Hope it works out for you.
I think the assembly of camaros is more precise then the fabrication of stainless headers. The bend on them is likely not an exact copy from header to header.

I agree with this, I don't think mine is anywhere near that close and there's no way the motors are mounted that far off between cars.

Mine is a 2010 and there is no boot on my steering shaft either though, but I doubt the shaft was moved.

Here's what mine looks like on a 2010. I am a bit disappointed that i'm starting to see rust on my headers considering these are supposed to be made from 304L stainless.

Assembly and soft motor mounts have nothing to do with each other. Unfortunately.

I had LOADS of clearance with my 1 7/8th SP headers the first month, and then after hard driving and hard power shifts, the engine shifted over, and the header began to slightly touch the rubber boot. I was like when I was peering into my engine bay one lazy afternoon and by pure sheer coincidence, I noticed this. I hastily, almost like a madman ripped the rubber boot off, and all has been well since.

At some point in the not_so_distant_future, I will most likely replace the engine mounts with stiffer units.

For the most part, it makes no difference at all what kind of headers you have regarding this issue. Of course there are exceptions to the rule like anything else, but generally speaking here.

Search this forum and one will find rubbing issues with all sorts of makes.
