Nitto NT 05R

Anyone put on the NT 05R 315-35-20 on stock rims???

Yes, it has been done before.....and it is STILL an incredibly bad idea!!! A 9" wheel is way too narrow for that wide of a tire.

Yea there's no way you should be putting that wide of a tire on a 9" wheel.

9" is 2" narrower than the 11" rim that tire size is measured on, and 1.5" narrower than the 10.5" that tire industry in general (not just Nitto) has established as the minimum wheel width you should ever run that size on.

That much narrower will start to pull tread width up off the road, kind of the opposite of what you want and a waste of 315-money spent if you're only getting 295 worth of performance out of it. And if you run the inflation down low enough to get the whole tread flat on the ground I'll guarantee it'll be woozy going through the traps. I would not want to be in the other lane.

Like everybody else has said, it's a really bad idea.
