Pulling my hair out! RS Wheels

I'm pulling my hair out!

I ordered a 1LT RS CGM w/ Black Stripes.
This is what it looks like on the Chevy Mini Site.

Notice the darker shade of the rims. The tires are STERLING SILVER ALUMINUM.

But, while browsing the forum I noticed pics of the RS wheels from other members and they are NOT dark at all. I want them dark to match my black stripes.

Sterling silver wheels:

Is the mini-site wrong? Why do the rims look dark when you're building the camaro? I need to change my order if the brighter shade of wheels don't look good with my stripes.

Any guidance?

The site has always misrepresented the rims, obviously GM has not desired or felt the need to fix it. I like them fine the way they are and knew abbout the difference prior to receiving my car. People but too much trust in these building sites, its just to give a rough estimate anyway not an exact match of your car.

I understand that. But the difference is night and day, not just a rough estimate of shading!

See, I put them next to each other --

I'm so confused on what to do next. Don't want to shell out another $4,800 for the 21" black rims.

Any recommendations on good powder coating shops?
Any other options =( I really don't want bright silver rims with black stripes on the hood.

Other views of RS rims - agree if not dark enough black powder coat. Hopefully you wanted the HID Halos along with the darker rims GM mis-lead you on in getting the RS package.

Powder-coating is a (roughly) $500 job to get dark rims. I'm pretty sure powder-coaters can do pretty much any color, so if you're looking for a dark grey instead of all-out black, they can probably do that too.

+1
Doing a quick search I found
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20840
Look at Post 7. $85 a wheel. 85x4=$340
add 60 for shipping if its not local? 400. Or you can go to a local shop for about the same rates, or even just get the rims painted. Not to hard of a fix...

You may like this option.

It is like powdercoating but they have a black pearl metalic finish that I have seen up close. Sweet! Just maybe what I will put on mine. Price if I can remember is 500-600??

Closest you will get is a Perma Black Chrome. I think it is roughly $1200. They send you the Black Chrome wheels, you send yours to them and they refund you the core charge.
