You can do that with no problem as long as you have right parts and you must use 20 inch rims......................

Besides the obvious calipers and rotors, what else is needed?

The hardware, of course... but you'll also have to trim the dust shield on the rears...

Yes you can exchange the dust shields, and you will need the pads, screws and brake lines.

You could change them but the amount of work involved to do that would make no sense. Just trim them.

You will need brake lines as well, I'd get a set of stainless steel lines and put them on rather than a stock set. You can just trim the rear dust shields as its a lot of work to change them. I would try to get a takeoff set with everything you need rather than buying stuf individually. Check out SLP's ebay page and the classifieds

When I did mine I also put in a SS Master Cylinder so the brake pedal feels right as I was told leaving the V6 would make the brakes too sensitive. I got that from Maureen at Rodgers Chevy for about $80 complete.

Hi I am getting a 2010 SS V8 brakes and will put them on my 2012 V6 and want to get a set of stainless steel lines and I would order them for a 2010 Camero SS and they will fit these Chevy/Brembo calipers right?
I was not going to get a new master brake Cylinder or should I? Just want to be 100% sure! Thansk Christopher Last edited by cengell; 03-13-2012 at 08:33 PM. Reason: update |
