the only way it would be a ripoff is if what the customer got for what they ordered was way below the expectation. For example if the HID's were only 10% better than the base ligths ext. The pkg might not hold the same value to a customer for what you get but that is a personal choice.

The RS package on my car just cost me an *extra* $1600 since I had to buy a winter car to drive due to the "summer" tires.

Yup I wouldn't have been happy unless I got the RS package. Love my car.

Nobody can say it's a ripoff.. it may just not be something they want or need and can't see spending the extra money for.. but those that love that RS package will feel it is more than worth the money...

So all you have to do is ask yourself, Is it worth it to me to spend the extra money for what I'll get?

My 2LT has the RS package as well. I ordered it because I liked the HID's, the badging and the wheels as well as the spoiler. To be honest, I wish the RS package included hidden headlights just like the 67-69 RS did. I have hideaways on both my 69 Impalas and think they would really make the front end of the '10 Camaro look really different. But, since they are too "complex" for any car maker to bother with anymore, that would never have happened so, I'll take the HID's to make it look different. All depends on what you are wanting.

I could easily afford the RS package, it just doesn't appeal to me personally. We all have different tastes, if we didn't they would only need to make the car in one color.

What they said.
Already have the spoiler, Car is black so the roof moldings match fine.
Added a set of orange halos & it is perfect for me

Just my 2 cents.
Yeah, I couldn't think of anything to make my RS SS look original.

I don't think I specifically said your name in my post. Nor did I say everyone who bought the RS isnt going to mod it. I said that's who the target market is. Congrats on what you've done, looks great. Don't get what I said twisted though.

Works for me, a car is an expression of ones self, I can't be the judge of your tastes and vice versa.

I had e-mailed my Salesperson to add the C&C package to my car, BUT I got an E-mail today from him sayimng he thought it had already gone too far and could not be added.. he is going to check on it friday to see if it can be added, If not I will be back to where I was before adding the C&C..which was $26,195
I got car #28 so I was way ahead of the backup sensors. I don't have the stripe package (didn't want it). I'm not sure why mine came out to that much I couldn't figure it out either. I'll see if I can take a pic of my window stickers later today and post it.

I know there was a price increase, and with fewer options I guess that accounts for a difference... It is moot anyway since mine already has a TPW and the order can't be changed...
