Hard to believe GM could not come up with a better acronym than DIC. I might suggest VIC (vehicle information center). I bet they were just having too much fun with it.

When I had HUD, I always kept it on the tach setting. I've always prefered the digital velocity readout in the DIC.

The other day, I changed the DIC screen to something else just to see if I could even get used to the analog speedo. Nope. For some reason the location and print of the numbers is visually illogical for me.

When I had my 2011 I used the HUD for speed and left the DIC on tire psi but now I just leave it on speed. I agree that it's a lot easier to just glance at the DIC rather than try and figure out where the dial is.

Are we still talking about the DIC?

I have a speedometer? I thought it was just on the HUD.

I hope I never have to drive another car without HUD...I'm not sure I'd remember how to tell how fast I'm going.

Not looking at your speedometer can be dangerous for your wallet's health, as well as your driving record.

HUD only for me. It really spoils me. I don't think I could ever drive without one now.

HUD here, my DIC is always show miles left to empty or the occasional tire pressure check.. The analog speedo just seems like is too far out of the way to look at.

The HUD spoiled me.

After I had the motor stroked to 417CI, I'm afraid to take my eyes off the road when running through 1st to 3rd..

+1, everything I need is on the HUD... no need for gauges

When I had the 2011 LS, I used the DIC for speed. The needles were like a quarter inch thick (exaggeration, but they were wide for gauge needles) and the dial had the marks for the various speeds closer in on the dial, so the needle could be sitting between 50 and 70 on the gauge, and you didn't know if that meant 55 or 65 you were going. On the 2015 1LE I have now, I just use the speedometer. It has a thin needle, and the marks are further out on the dial, where you can see precisely how fast you are going. That way I can monitor something else on the DIC.

those 2010-2011 models have really poor gauges, design wise, and I'm glad to be rid of that fat needle. I hated it.
