Eh, I don't know, honestly. Looks like he picked his mods carefully. There's a strong, strong chance he will dead hook off the line on the track even with street tires. The 3.55 gears don't help him too much if he were roll racing on the freeway but they're pretty legit for 1/4 mile runs. Now if he had a torque converter and some drag radials, you'd really have a problem. On the big end, you'll run him down based purely on power. It's that hole shot you have to worry about. This is coming from someone who owned a '12 Mustang.

The control arms and drag shocks will make a substantial difference in eliminating wheel hop on those things. Try using launch control on your first run out to get a feel for how your car is going to react on the track. Just think about it. You have a lot riding in your favor but these cars are not equal at the drag strip, despite what fanboys and magazines will tell you. I guarantee if you posted this same question on a Mustang forum, you'd have an overall different tone than Camaro5.

Don't just assume that because you're making more power and you're driving a Camaro, that on Camaro5 you'll get an unbiased opinion.
Yeah that's what Iam hhoping doesn't happen. I thinking I'mggoing to have to cut a mean light and get a good launch. I'm also debating on getting subframe connectors before hand to help my launch and my 0-60 time.

I'd take a hard look at all the wheel hop elimination kits that are out there and tack away another item that'll help you launch. I don't think subframes are something you have to worry about at this point. I'd personally take a gander at lower control arms and toe rods. Maybe some bushings.

I was under the impression that the subframe connectors were an alternative to subframe bushings is that wrong? I know the control arms help with the mustangs they help with the camaro too? I'm thinking about getting one suspension beforethe race

I'll let someone with more straight-line performance experience on 5th gens chime in on that. Historically, that's the trend I've seen is bushings, trailing arms, control arms and some sort of shock/spring setup in the rear. Either way, this isn't a GT-R where you turn the car on, point it in the right direction, hit the gas pedal and win.

Yeah I figured that that's why I posted this because I have seen any newer 5.0's with that mod combination at the track yet. Usually for suspension seen that subframe bushings, trailing arms, toe links, and control arm bushings have the biggest impact. I've also seen some people use the subframe connectors. I just have a limited budget and am only going to pick 1 for now

Sounds good. Either way good luck and don't walk into this like you win by default because you own a Camaro.

Would be more interesting if the Mustang has a high stall torque converter and drag radials, getting off the line takes too long with the stock converter.
